Why flicker with dimmable LED lights?

The LED lighting can be a complicated job, and since there is no standard for LED dimming, there is no guarantee that a particular lamp will work with a certain dimmer. Incompatibilities between lamps and dimmers can cause flickering reduced adjustment ranges and can also cause damage and reduce lamp life.

Our lamps are compatible with most state-of-the-art dimmers, but due to the variety and constant development of new units, not all suitable dimmers will be included.

1: The minimum dimmer load is not satisfied.

Dimmer switches (mainly avant-garde) have a minimum load of 40 watts, if this load is not satisfied, flicker may occur. Flicker will be more noticeable at lower levels, i.e. when trying to lower below 50%. One way to solve this problem is to use a resistive (or fictitious) load.
Another way is to use an LED dimmer; this type of dimmer switch has been tested almost specifically for use with LEDs and has a lower minimum load.

2: Most commonly, the combination of the dimmer switch and LED is not compatible.

Just because of a lighting system manufacturer like Philips (for example) claims to use a dimmer edge or edge dimmer doesn't mean it will work. You need to know specifically which one to use, as they are all different, a cutting-edge dimmer switch from a company allows you to get completely different results from a cutting-edge dimmer switch from another company.

Even the use of the same dimmer of the same company with the same product code can give different results with the same type and quantity of LEDs. You must also make sure that the batch codes are the same or that you may experience flicker.
Like most hotels used LUTRON Dimmer, but also the Triac dimmer is common, so it is a request when you buy LED lamps dimmable by the supplier, you have to tell them what you need.
